Green Roof Grants

Each year the city of indianapolis office of sustainability and united water collaborate on the green infrastructure grant program to promote green infrastructure construction such as green roofs porous pavement and rain gardens.

The schedule below outlines the maximum reimbursement rate for green roof projects. Over its estimated lifespan of 40 years a green roof would save about 200 000 of which nearly two thirds would come from reduced energy costs. Soil depth and whether the roof will have initial or continued irrigation will also need to be factored in.
