It matures at 6 to 8 feet tall and as wide so it s ideal in a smaller garden. Bamboo clumping narrow green leaves emerge from tan culms in late spring adding to previous season s foliage. Leaves do not curl in the sun as with some bamboos. It grows quickly to form a large clump 15 to 18 feet tall.

Fargesia rufa green panda is very vigorous forming new shoots in spring and quickly developing into a large clump. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other garden plants with less refined foliage. Rufa are very full.
